Explore a Bitcoin address’s on-chain funds with the R7 Bitcoin Balance Checker. Enter a public address to view its confirmed balance, unconfirmed activity, transaction count, and active UTXOs.

Inspect individual unspent outputs with their transaction IDs, values in BTC and satoshis, and confirmation status. You can also open the address on Mempool.space or copy a formatted summary for Bitcointalk.

Only a public Bitcoin address is needed—never enter a private key or recovery phrase. Results cover the address you check; a wallet using multiple addresses may hold additional funds elsewhere.

Understanding Bitcoin UTXOs & Coin Control

How Bitcoin manages balances under the hood.

What is a UTXO?

Bitcoin does not have traditional accounts or balances. Instead, it uses **Unspent Transaction Outputs (UTXOs)**, which function like physical banknotes or coins. When you send Bitcoin, you consume entire UTXOs and receive change back as a new output.

Why Does UTXO Consolidation Matter?

Every UTXO included in a transaction adds bytes to the transaction size, dramatically increasing network mining fees. Having hundreds of small "dust" UTXOs can make spending them more expensive than the value of the coins themselves during fee spikes.
