I managed a community design contest for Sinbad, inviting designers to create a complete Bitcointalk signature set and matching avatar. Launched in December 2022, the contest advertised a $250 prize paid in BTC.
The client’s goal
Sinbad wanted to refresh the promotional artwork used in its existing signature campaign. The brief was direct: make the signatures brighter and more noticeable while maintaining a coordinated appearance with the avatar.The approach
I presented an open design challenge that welcomed contributors beyond existing forum members. Designers received access to reference materials and were asked to submit a complete set covering Legendary, Hero, Sr. Member, Full Member and Member ranks, plus an avatar.The published submission deadline was December 31, 2022, UTC.
What I managed
I coordinated the contest announcement, design brief, submission instructions and participant questions. Entries were submitted publicly with a forum username and Bech32 payment address. I also communicated the ownership and judging terms, with the final winner selection reserved for Sinbad’s team.Results and evidence

Campaign details
This contest supported an advertising campaign that was already running. Rather than starting a new visual identity from scratch, designers were challenged to improve how the brand stood out within forum discussions.Requiring a full signature set made consistency an important part of the assignment. Each entry needed to adapt across different forum-rank formats while working alongside a matching avatar, giving the client a coordinated creative proposal.
