I managed Mixin Safe’s Bitcointalk signature campaign across 21 campaign weeks, between July 26 and December 26, 2023. The promotion introduced its Bitcoin custody solution through forum advertising and encouraged members to explore the project’s official discussion.
Mixin Safe wanted to build recognition for its approach to Bitcoin custody. The objective was to introduce the product to cryptocurrency users and create opportunities for discussion about its multisignature and recovery features.
The approach
I organized a selective signature campaign with coordinated avatars and personal text. The brief emphasized constructive contributions appropriate to the reward level, recent merit requirements and ongoing participation. Local-board posts were excluded from paid activity.
What I managed
I held the marketing funds, updated the available balance weekly and managed participant coordination, branding checks and post reviews. Reward calculations followed a Saturday-to-Friday UTC schedule. I also monitored activity requirements and reviewed evidence of potential breaches of the campaign’s AI-content rules.
Results and evidence
The engagement completed 21 campaign weeks. The supplied reward terms offered qualifying Legendary participants $4 per eligible post for up to 20 posts weekly, allowing a maximum of $80 per participant. Its public Bitcointalk thread provides the historical campaign reference, and the stated budget range was $500–$700.
Campaign details
The campaign introduced a technical custody product, making the official discussion thread an important companion to the advertising. Signatures provided an initial point of discovery, while the discussion offered space to explore how the product worked. My role concerned managing that promotion rather than auditing or certifying the custody technology.
