Review and Bug Detection Campaign
Mixin Safe Review Campaign | 100 Members & Approximately $10,000 Budget
I managed Mixin Safe’s review campaign from July 18 to August 24, 2023, involving 100 members and an approximate $10,000 budget. The campaign required hands-on testing of its Bitcoin custody solution, from wallet preparation to creating a Safe, depositing funds and sending a transaction.
The client’s goal
Mixin Safe wanted detailed feedback on the practical experience of setting up and using its custody product. The objective was to understand how cryptocurrency users navigated wallet preparation, member coordination and transaction steps, with constructive reviews grounded in completed testing. The approach
I organized the 100-member campaign in batches, assigning submission deadlines to each group. Approved participants followed a defined testing journey rather than reviewing the website alone. This included preparing owner and member wallets, configuring Mixin Messenger and completing a deposit and outgoing transaction. What I managed
I handled applications, eligibility checks, batch acceptance, advance reward coordination and submission tracking. I checked reviews against the testing brief and assigned deadlines, while enforcing restrictions on alternative accounts and AI-generated content. The published reward was 0.003 BTC per qualifying review. Results and evidence
The engagement involved 100 members with an approximate campaign budget of $10,000. Its public Bitcointalk thread documents the recruitment limit, testing requirements, batch process and review terms. The campaign concluded on August 24, 2023; the budget figure is an allocation rather than a verified final expenditure.Campaign details
This assignment required reviewers to experience a custody workflow involving several tools and people. Contact setup, emergency contacts and wallet preparation were part of the brief alongside the transaction itself. Organizing the work in batches helped me coordinate that detailed process across a substantial participant group while maintaining individual submission deadlines.
